The remake of 2 was base on the mechanics and controls of this one along with more cheap jumpscares which is why i'd rank that lower than the originals too. It didn't use the pointer to aim at the screen, it used the motion control like a virtual analogue stick to steer the camera. I hated how they used the wii controller. It was clearly a different team because it didn't get what was good about the originals, less atmosphere, weaker story and focused on cheap jumpscares. On Wii it had terrible controls, and was a massive step down from the first 3 mechanically. I'm hoping this will improve it at least. I've played them all and i'd say best to worst: 2 > 1 > 3 > 2 remake > Maiden of the Black Water > Mask of the Lunar Eclipse > Spirit Camera. /r/GamePhysics - Clips of game physics shining and glitchingĭesign based on /r/FlatBlue created by /u/creesch./r/gaming4gamers - middle ground between purely-for-fun and more serious subreddits./r/GamingLeaksAndRumours - Leaks and Rumors.Posting unmarked spoilers will result in removal and warning, and posting spoilers with malicious intent will result in a ban.
